Wet Dream
Call it a case of opposites attract. Me a privileged girl from the burbs. He a Harley rider with a husky voice, striking blue eyes and, unfortunately, a few teeth missing. We met in a ‘rooming house’ of the very best sort in Montreal – he upstairs, me downstairs. The kitchen was shared by all four tenants and before long I was thinking that I could overlook the missing teeth.
We started going out and I often thought how strange we must look together – him in leathers, me straddling his bike in my flirty dresses and kitten heels. Me sitting straight backed in my movie seat with a bucket of popcorn, him slouching in his, popping open cans of beer with studied nonchalance. He was the epitome of cool. When I finally made my way ‘upstairs’ one evening I was thrilled to discover that despite the beer on his breath and the ever present cigarette, he was a fabulous kisser. As we got rid of his clothes I was amazed to see not a single body hair. Quite obviously he wasn’t the waxing type. Of course I had to ask why. To this day I consider his the very best response. “Hair don’t grow on steel baby.” And really ladies when you think of it, hair don’t grow on the hardest part.

Pink Panties
- 1 package frozen pink lemonade concentrate
- 1 cup Canadian Mist® whisky
- 1-cup water
- 1 cup whipped cream
Combine all ingredients in a blender with half a cup of crushed ice. Blend until smooth. Serve in a tall glass.

Just taking time to do your nails should be a nice pampering experience. If you find yourself either alone or with a bunch of girlfriends and need something to do here are some suggestions. These are some of my go tos that keep me cheerful. Keep in mind these are things that my girlfriends and I have all done for a fun evening or for a raining day, they are a guide and you can tailor them to your tastes!
Get your favourite music and sing your heart out, dance but be careful not to dent or smudge your nails!
A few good magazines and a glass of wine, cup of tea or a latte.
